2000 was the transitional year from the American Standard to the American Series name. The date on the neck of this guitar is Jan 2000 so we can assume this guitar is indeed an American Standard. This particular guitar comes in the limited Trans Blonde finish over ash, which looks great with the parchment plastics and rosewood fingerboard. In our opinion, the first generation of American Standard guitars are the best guitars ever made by Fender. They have very comfortable necks, slightly narrow string spacing (so the E strings aren't so close to the edge of the fretboard), alnico V pickups, and a nice assortment of colors.
The condition of this guitar is excellent overall. Even though it's 26 years old, you will only find a few very minor dings and very light surface scratches. The frets have been polished and show almost no wear. There is one very small finish crack on each side of the neck pocket that would not show up in photos.
