There is so much to experience with this Anderson Classic - if there ever was a "Swiss Army Knife" of guitars, this very well could be it. This is an early production Tom Anderson guitar that was originally fitted with 3 single coils and pearloid pickguard and covers. It was converted to HSS by adding an H2+ humbucker and single-ply black guard and covers. The pickup switching options provide individual 3-way mini switches for each pickup, configured for humbucking tone, coil tapped tone, and off. You also have the option to run each pickup in parallel mode rather than coil tapped mode. The pickup tones and switching options are nearly endless - and these pickups sound great in every mode. Though Anderson doesn't make the SL pickups any more, they are a slightly brighter version of the current SLA pickups. You get glassy single coil tones without the harsh high-end, plus the huge response of the H2+ humbucker.
Overall condition is excellent considering it's age. There are some very minor dings and scratches on the body and headstock edges. There is a scratch on the pickguard near the lower horn. There is some very minor fret wear but definitely no need for leveling. All electronics function as expected. The build sheet notes this color as orange but it really looks more like a light shade of red.
